Da Nang, one of cities in Vietnam, is located between Hoi An and Hue and its about 967 km from Ho Chi Minh city. Honestly, I did not have a plan to visit Da Nang as I simply took a bus from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh until I found out about golden hands bridge on instagram.
So, knowing about Ba Na Hills was the main reason why I finally decided to extend my stay in Vietnam. In fact, Da Nang turned out to be one my favourite cities as there are a lot of things to do in there. I found myself to be in love in this city for not only its less polluted urban area but also the friendly people inside of it.

Well, lets cut to the case. There are 9 best things you need to put on your itinerary once you decide to visit Da Nang. As it's known as a coastal city in the central Vietnam as well as its historic French colonial buildings and the most attractive one is the magnificent view from its popular inland Ba Na Hills can surely help you escape from your hectic routines.
1. Non Nuoc Beach

Non Nuoc beach is one of beautiful beaches with its white sands, unpolluted waters and mild waves in Da Nang where you can soak up the sunlight. The location is as well not really far from Da Nang City, about 20 minutes by driving a car or taking a grab car. This beach has been claimed as one of the most stunning beaches in the entire world. In this beach, you can do some activities like sunbathing, jet-skiing, and surfing whilst enjoying the local dishes. One thing for sure that this beach is definitely the best place for relaxing and escaping temporarily from your hectic duties.
2. Spending whole day in Ba Na Hills

If you are looking for a place where you can enjoy the beauty urban and nature mixture, then you can find it in this hill. This hills become everyone bucket list and its tourists number continuously increasing since its first open on June 2018. As for me, I will of course put Ba Na Hills as one of places to visit as this was my major reason to finally stepped on this beautiful land haha. Read more

3. Dragon Bridge

Dragon bridge is the longest bridge in Vietnam with 666 metres in length. This bridge crosses a river called Han River and becomes one of the most popular photographer spot in Da Nang. It is constructed in a shape of a dragon in golden colour as the locals believe it to be a power symbol. This giant dragon can change colour in the evening, breaths fire then spits out water. However, if you want to see it spits out water and breathes in fire, you have to make sure to come on Saturday night only, it starts showing from 9 pm onwards.
4. Love Lock Bridge

Love lock bridge is another bridge in Da Nang where people can lock their love on the fence of the bridge. This one is similar with love bridge in Korea and Paris but it does not have more padlocks on it. Also, it is located just next to the dragon bridge, so if you guys come to visit dragon bridge you also can visit love bridge at once.
PS: Dont forget to bring your padlock when you come :)
5. Son tra night market

Night market is one of interesting places to go as it is a place for tourists to find souvenirs and other unique things in the country. In Da Nang, you can spend your night wandering around the Son Tra Night Market where you find many specific objects that symbolises the country as well as try many different local foods. Also, it only take 10 minutes walk from the dragon bridge.
6. Cham Museum

If you are looking for a museum that exhibits more sculptures that describe the culture, lifestyle and the practices of Vietnam's indigenous tribe, you can visit Cham Museum. This museum established during the colonial French rule in 1915 which also known as the only museum of its kind in the globe. You can learn more history of Cham tribe by exploring this museum. For additional information, guide tours are available in this museum from 8.00 to 10.00 am and from 14.00 to 16.30 pm.
7. Da Nang Cathedral

This cathedral, also known as Con Ga Church (Rooster Church), is similar with the pink church in Ho Chi Minh as it painted in pink colour. This building is also built by the French in 1923 which then becomes the most unique catholic churches in Vietnam. It serves the local Catholic community to this very day. The location is very close from the dragon bridge where it only takes 15 minutes walk. If you are looking for a unique building to snap photos, then this cathedral could be an option.

8. Son Tra (Monkey) Mountain

Son Tra Mountain, also known as Monkey mountain, is located at 693 metres above the sea level. You can find numbers of monkeys in this mountain which stands the reason why it is also called as monkey mountain. This mountain is the best place for motorcycling while hiking and enjoy the verdant jungles. Another thing to enjoy on the mountain is the Linh Ung Pagoda which is also located there.
9 . Marble Mountains

Marble mountains is a cluster that consist of five marbles and limestone hills which is located in Ngu Hanh Son district in Da Nang. The reason why it is called marble mountain is because the place where you can find varies architecture. There are caves, temples, tunnels, and peaks can be found here. One of interesting things to do is climbing rock to the top of it then enjoy the magnificent view across the Non Nuoc Beach.

DeleteUntuk halal food di sana agak susah di dapat harus serba hati2 soalnya di minimarketnya atau 7-elevennya tidak tersedia dalam bahasa inggris alias semua tertulis dalam bahasa vietnam. Jadi, sebelum membeli sebaiknya ditanyakan kandungannya hehe (agak ribet) :D
